It doesn't take owning a mansion for people to be satisfied about their home, but finding the right home seems like a difficult task. As a home owner/ investor, we are searching for properties that will give us an investment returns and the ability to develop according to a 5-10 year plan set out in the early stages.
I find that its easier to find properties with potential of development and land with possibilities to sub divide. Most affordable homes to an average investor are old properties with light scarce within most rooms.
Most home buyers are searching for open plan housing and lots of light shining through for the affect of a "bigger" house and gives it a feel of a warm light house. Also most buyers do not want to spending time on maintence of the house, therefore spending time upgrading the house features will enhance potential buyers and renters.
